A Tale of Ramadan Magic for Young Muslims
Author Aisha Ahmed proposes to host a children’s storytelling and journaling event featuring Author Aisha Ahmed and her book Ramadan Quest. The goal of this program is to inspire Muslim children to appreciate the beauty and meaning of Ramadan, develop reflection and goal-setting skills, and engage with Islamic values in a fun, interactive, and age-appropriate way.
Learning Outcomes / Benefits:
- Introduces children to the values and spirit of Ramadan in an engaging, memorable way
- Encourages children to reflect, set personal goals, and journal their experiences during Ramadan
- Provides a safe, welcoming, and interactive environment for children to socialize and learn
- Supports literacy and positive habits, using an Islamic-themed story as a teaching tool.
Event Details:
Target Audience: Children ages 6–12
Date & Time: 13th February, 5:30 to 7. Actual event starts from 6, since Maghreb will be at 5:30, this is a way to encourage kids to come for Maghreb as well.
Location: Islamic Center of East Brunswick – Basement, so far without partition. We can decide later based upon number of registrants.
Event Fee: $5 per child, covers hot chocolate and refreshments; payment accepted in advance or at drop-off.
