Principal – Dr. Yasmeen Jameer
Dr. Yasmin Jameer will serve as the Principal for ICEB Saturday School
Dr. Yasmin is a dedicated educator with over 10 years of teaching experience in elementary education. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in K-12 Teacher Leadership, along with master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Curriculum & Instruction.
Dr. Jameer is passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. She is committed to serving the community through Islamic education and strives to create a positive, engaging learning environment that nurtures strong character, a love of learning, and a connection to Islamic values.
Vice Principal – Ustad Gadeen Desouky
Ustad Gadeen Desouky will serve as the Vice Principal for ICEB Saturday School
He has been studying the Islamic sciences for the past eight years, completing seven years at Al-Hamid Foundation, where he studied classical texts in Fiqh, Usūl al-Fiqh, Hadith Nomenclature, Tafsīr, Arabic Grammar and Rhetoric, and Islamic Beliefs.
He graduated from Rutgers University, where he founded the Al-Ghazālī Club with the aim of bringing qualified scholars to the New Brunswick campus to teach Islamic sciences to college students.
In 2024, he co-founded MarkTrack, a school management system serving Islamic institutes across the country.
Currently, Gadeen is furthering his studies in Islamic theology through the Kalam 3.0 Institute under the guidance of Shaykh Hamza Karamali.
Gadeen is passionate about developing a community that nurtures a generation of strong faith, and is looking forward to working with the ICEB community to bring that vision to fruition.
Administrator – Nida Adil Shaik
Nida Adil Shaik will serve as the Administrator for ICEB Saturday School
She is a dedicated volunteer with ICEB, contributing to community programming, event coordination, and outreach across ICEB’s educational and community initiatives including the ICEB Saturday School, and ICEB Holiday Hub Summer Camp.
She holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy. Her professional background spans healthcare operations and project coordination, including work managing statewide public health initiatives for the New Jersey Department of Health. She also served for three years as Logistics Lead for MCGP Saturday School, coordinating operations for a program serving over 200 students weekly.
Nida brings this same spirit of organization, care, and service to her volunteer work at ICEB helping develop curriculum, coordinate programs, and support families as part of the community. She is passionate about creating meaningful educational experiences rooted in Islamic values and looks forward to continuing that work through the ICEB Weekend School.
IT Lead – Shahvez Alam
Shahvez Alam will serve as the IT Administrator for ICEB Saturday School, supporting the school’s technology needs and operations.
Shahvez is a technology leader with over 20 years of experience in software engineering, digital transformation, and platform modernization, working with one of the nation’s leading custodial banks.
A New Jersey resident for 13 years and an East Brunswick resident for over a year, Shahvez has been actively involved with ICEB through volunteering at community events and supporting masjid operations. He enjoys working with fellow volunteers and looks forward to contributing to the Saturday School and helping it serve our community.
